The History of Corvette Specialties
In 1980, our founder, Bob, sold his '61 Corvette to
open the store. He rented a small storefront in an out of the way industrial area. Since
he had a reputation for knowing Corvettes and Corvette parts, and since he had been
selling Corvette parts from his garage, he had enough business to keep him going. To keep
costs down, he lived in the store. Customers knew they could pound on the door and get
Corvette parts any time day or night.
Bob sold both new and used Corvette parts, and dismantled many Corvettes in the shop
portion of the store, cleaning and/or reconditioning parts and putting them out for sale.
He started developing a network of sources for new parts that allowed him to carry a huge
range of Corvette parts at competitive prices. His business grew as his reputation grew.
He expanded the store, then expanded it again.
Finally, in 1998, he decided it was time to retire. The current owners took over in early
1999. Today, we carry all the Corvette parts that we ever did and more, plus an
expanded line of accessories, garments, gifts, and collectibles. Our inventory is
comprehensive, and our pricing competitive. We charge only our actual costs to ship your
order, unlike the "Big Guys" who make a huge profit on shipping and handling.
